1942: Joint Strike is a revived classic of 1984, which belongs to the field of vertically scrolling shooters. Drawing inspiration from the 19XX series, it organically weaves together many elements such as a health meter, a bombing system, a charge shooting mechanic, ground skirmishes, rank increase, a choice of fighters, bonuses at the end of the level for bombs and a hierarchy of ranks. You can take on the challenge alone or team up in multiplayer mode. In the first case, there are three different fighters to choose from, each of which has its own strengths and weaknesses. The task remains clear: destroy enemy planes, tanks, ships and formidable bosses, deftly dodging fire. The player's arsenal includes bombs to clear the screen and charges that can destroy multiple targets at once. In multiplayer mode, the duo can join forces online or gather on a local platform to tackle missions together. A spectacular joint strike maneuver that combines the power of both aircraft adds an extra layer of strategy. Five diverse levels, each with its own unique setting and theme inspired by historical locations such as London, Midway, Berlin and Tokyo, 1942: Joint Strike is a vibrant tapestry of combat. Drawing on the series' rich history, it brings back such foes as the fearsome battleship Yamato, the Me-262 jet fighter and the fearsome submarine Bodan. Four difficulty levels - Beginner, Normal, Pro and Ace - allow you to find the right one for you. An advanced scoring system takes into account accuracy, combinations and rank, rewarding players for their tactical skill.
