A HERO AND A GARDEN is a visual novel with simulation elements, where the user will have to take on the role of a hero who failed to save the princess. Instead of completing his adventure, the main character is faced with a new task - to take care of the garden in a small town, partially destroyed after his previous attempt at heroism. This turn from a heroic narrative to a more measured and almost meditative process focuses on the storyline and personal growth within a small fantasy setting.The gameplay includes a series of tasks focused on collecting berries, which is implemented using clicker mechanics. The collected berries turn into a kind of currency needed to restore various city objects damaged by the hero's actions. By interacting with the inhabitants of the city, you can not only restore the physical environment, but also gradually improve the protagonist's relationship with the locals. These interactions immerse you in their lives, revealing the traits of unusual characters, each of whom treats the hero differently.The gameplay also introduces the user to various monsters and mythical characters: some are friendly, others are wary. Each encounter reveals additional aspects of the narrative, revealing the story of the hero's journey and motivating you to explore his past mistakes.
