Actraiser Renaissance is a remake of the game, which was released on sixteen-bit fourth-generation consoles and was popular among Japanese and Western gamers. The Title stood out from other projects of those years with its mix of genres. It combined god simulator, action and platformer. And a few decades later the developers tried to recreate this product and adapt its gameplay to modern realities.

Actraiser Renaissance is an improved version. The re-release got an updated two-dimensional graphics with HD support. There was a choice of difficulty levels. Also the ability to auto-save was introduced. The soundtrack has been expanded with the addition of 15 tunes, and the arrangements of older songs have been reworked. The video game also boasts a new world, with a previously unseen boss and extended storylines.

The combat system has been improved. From now on you can use different strikes (including up and down), perform combos and dodge your enemies' attacks. Crystals fall out of enemies to enhance the divine protagonist. And the locations now have alternate paths and secret places with collectibles.
