Gameplay in Adventures in the Light & Dark as such does not exist. Users can only turn the pages of a virtual novel. The work consists of 20,000 words. The reading process is accompanied by atmospheric sounds. Occasionally there are visual animations. Indi-Title refers to kinetic novels. That is, here the user is not given any influence on the events taking place. He only witnesses them. No choice of actions or lines here. All progress is saved automatically. Playthrough time depends on your reading speed and can take an hour and a half or two hours or less.

The game has a detective-humorous plot. The plot begins when the hero named Theo finds himself on a misty island. The protagonist begins to explore an unknown terrain, meet characters and get to know them, learn secrets. Guy finds himself in the confusing world of Phaser Reach's greatest space station, which is just north of Harbor.
