ALUMNI - Escape Room Adventure is an immersive, first-person view quest. It can be categorized as a sub-genre "room escape". Its main difference from other similar games is that here the character has to get out not from a single room, but from a whole distorted dimension. This video game uses a sci-fi setting. The hero is controlled with the keyboard and mouse. He can walk in different directions and interact with his surroundings. For example: opening and closing doors, pushing buttons, picking up and rearranging objects, and so on. It is also possible to put items in the inventory and use them. Gameplay is built on exploring locations and solving puzzles.

ALUMNI - Escape Room Adventure has a full-fledged story with cut-scenes dedicated to the theme of time travel. The story is about a scientist who works in the Time Labs corporation to create special serums. These potions are explored for the ability to make time jumps. A falling asleep researcher decided to cheer himself up and sloppily made himself some coffee, letting a few experimental drops fall into his cup. The explorer realized his mistake when he had already tasted the drink. As a result, he teleported from his place of work straight to Ridgeway College, where he once studied. Soon the main character realizes that he is not in the present past, but only in an empty dimension molded from his fragmentary memories of student life. He needs to find a way to return to his normal reality.
