Aijin is a psychological title that combines survival mechanics with detective and life simulator elements. The story follows a student returning from an institution known as the Lover School for Internet Addiction Treatment. Notorious for its harsh methods, the place leaves its mark on those who pass through its doors. One day, a chain of events begins to reveal the truth about Aijin, leading the protagonist into a tangled web of memories, altered perceptions, and haunting realizations.The narrative unfolds through choices that determine multiple endings, heightening the uncertainty of the character's past and present. Aijin's gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle solving, and decision making. Users navigate a fluid environment where reality and illusion blur in unexpected ways. A sanity system affects how you understand the setting, dynamically altering events and encounters. Some paths lead to revelations, others to further confusion.Chase sequences permeate the world, building tension at crucial moments. There are three significant endings, each branching out from the protagonist's understanding of their situation. The video game was independently developed over six months and began as an attempt to depict an interactive horror about an addiction treatment center.
