AKAI NOROI is a dark Japanese horror with elements of oriental folklore, and a peculiar mystical atmosphere filled with horrors, hallucinations and dangerous monsters. In some locations, the character is overcome by a real schizophrenia, and his fear is felt physically. The corridor suddenly turns into a sickeningly blurry tunnel with floating corners, completely covered with all sorts of obscenities: human hands stick out of the swaying walls, then huge wasps buzz, nervously trembling their wings. There are few safe zones here: hunters lurk at every turn. There is no place to hide behind a door or under a staircase: sooner or later, a tall black silhouette in red clothing will steer towards the protagonist from everywhere.The main character of the horror film is a thirty-nine-year-old man named Akio, who recently lost his job due to addiction. He longs for his dead sister, being in a deep depression. One day, returning home, he finds himself drawn into a disgusting alternative universe from which there is no obvious exit. The powerful inhabitants of this sinister world are invulnerable, and the darkness is their faithful ally. Akio has a candle that helps him navigate in the dark, and some clues that gradually lead the plot to one of three endings. The gameplay is focused on investigating the circumstances that link the distortion of reality with the death of a girl whose unfortunate brother became hostage.
