Plymouth is rocked by the daring disappearance of a notorious criminal named Sir William. But what shocked the city dwellers in Alter Ego (2010) was not this, but a series of terrible murders that did not stop after the death of the culprit. A quest with adventure elements is made in the setting of 19th century England, where the user undertakes to investigate a dangerous case. The player will have to act in the role of two heroes - the swindler Timothy, as well as the honest detective Bristol. This allows you to create a complete picture of the events taking place and experience different features of the gameplay.Timothy Moore is a petty thief and swindler who often faces various problems - a decline in business, imprisonment, underground life. In the process, the gamer helps the protagonist solve his life's troubles, for example, get clothes, find an accomplice, flirt with all the girls he meets. The second chapter starts in the cemetery in Plymouth, where one day a tragic situation occurs - the crypt is opened and the body of Sir William - the White Beast is stolen. Instead, the villain left the gravedigger's corpse. First there are two storylines - for Moore, as well as the investigation process - for Bristol, which unite in the finale. The gameplay is classic for the genre and linear, and the user cannot deviate from the route, performing a given order of actions. The emphasis in the adventure is on exploring the surroundings and searching for household items and their correct use, as well as pixel hunting. The detective, for example, searches the bushes using a magnifying glass, and also makes notes in his notebook.
