Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is the second part of the famous game. It is not a direct continuation of the first episode, but the action takes place in the same universe. The player is transported to 1899, acting as an entrepreneur Oswald Mandus, who returned from a difficult expedition to Mexico. The main character fell ill with a mysterious illness and was unconscious for many months. After waking up, the daredevil discovers that he remembers little. Meanwhile, there is not a living soul in his house, and somewhere under the floor there is an alarming noise of a huge machine. This is how another dark adventure begins. The game uses many of the same solutions and mechanics used in the first part. So the gamer still deals with a first-person adventure in the spirit of a truly scary horror movie. As the player progresses, he travels through rooms, collects objects, solves puzzles and learns about past events and plot twists (in voice and written form). What has changed is the change in climate and narrative style - the authors have reduced the intensity of game elements in favor of exploration. Simple "screamers" have been replaced by a deeper fear of the dark layers of the human soul. The graphics are made in a very dark and realistic style, detailing every nook and cranny and characters. The musical accompaniment builds up the atmosphere to the point of trembling, forcing you to move faster. The character will not have any weapons in his inventory, only a small lamp, which will hardly help dispel the darkness that is gathering around him more and more
