And Yet It Moves takes place in a torn paper world, which you can not only run, jump and move around, but also scroll in different directions, opening up new paths and overcoming obstacles. Pressing right or left rotates the entire area by 90 degrees, this can be done even if the character is in the air, while simultaneously directing him in flight and landing on the surface that appears. This mechanic provides many opportunities for solving puzzles and experimenting with the environment. At each level, And Yet It Moves presents something new and unique, diluting the gameplay and not letting players get bored. You can burn through areas with fire, and bamboo sticks are used as a pole for athletes, allowing you to jump onto high ledges or swing over gorges. Although it will sometimes be difficult to solve another problem, the game does not punish you much for a mistake, generously placing checkpoints and not throwing you back too much for the fatal outcome of another attempt. There are also single enemies in the locations, and battles with them are not standard. You cannot attack them with a stick or shoot them with a pistol, and using the environment you need to appease them by giving them a piece of food, deceive them or use them for your own purposes. They are remarkable in their appearance, grotesque and abstract, woven from various pieces, sometimes it seems that a child, with his not yet perfect hand, cut out animals from a newspaper: lizards, primates, devil hamsters.
