Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits invites you into the narrative, where you will travel through the intertwined destinies of Kharg and Dark. Advancing their individual stories in tandem, players explore various locations, and they intersect in the journeys of the two characters. The campaign follows the traditional RPG structure, directing users from one city to another, on the world map to certain areas and in battles, and they emphasize their odyssey. To cross the five continents, Kharg uses the Great Owl ship, while Dark rides the monster Pyron to explore different lands. Combat in Twilight of the Spirits follows the mechanics of the first three Arc the Lad games, using a tactical format. Unlike the original trilogy, this installment uses a circular movement system instead of a grid, eliminating the concept of magic points. Magic and special attacks are based on Spirit Stones, which can be obtained in various ways. During battles, you can analyze your character's stats, equip items, and strategically plan your attacks using a range indicator. Experience points (XP) and skill points (SP) are awarded after defeating enemies, allowing characters to gain new abilities and increase their rank. Fourteen characters are featured, including 2 temporary and two secret.
