Role-playing and card game Artist Life Simulator is an adventure game from an indie developer with an extremely original and unique idea. As you can tell even from the name, the player will observe the life of an artist. Only his actions and decisions determine the further development of such a creative personality. The action takes place in the 30s in a city called New Opportunity, which is fictional. The atmosphere and theme are an alternative universe with a decadent slant. That is, it is a rather depressive setting, where you can feel decline and dullness. The overall picture of Artist Life Simulator is conveyed in such a way as to be as close as possible to real drawings, where paints and brush strokes are clearly visible - it looks really appropriate. Also, a feature is that there are no dialogues or active gameplay - everything is conveyed through cards and it is their various combinations that will really affect what is happening. They can be characterized both by entirely lunch things, such as monetary status, a banal feeling of satiety, and by spiritual and psychological problems. For example, the character will be able to feel a different state - for example, boredom, melancholy or, on the contrary, positive thoughts. In total, more than six dozen such emotions and experiences have been added in the form of individual cards. The most interesting thing is that ultimately, how the user solved certain problems, what emotional state the artist was in, will determine what kind of picture he will draw. In theory, it should become a masterpiece and change the world. But it can also turn out to be very banal and be sold for mere pennies, which, in general, will not change anything for the hero.
