Arx Fatalis is a first-person role-playing game with a gripping atmosphere in the nightmarish world of Arx, for whose inhabitants the sun has gone out. Society is on the brink of war: people, kobolds, trolls and goblins are tearing each other's throats for underground resources, because there is nothing more to look for on the surface. In this chaos, a destructive evil awakens, the embodiment of which the main character must defeat. While the peoples of Arx are shaking the fragile diplomatic balance, the ominous god Akbaa is slowly preparing the end of all existence. The player's task is to prevent the death of the universe. In the character editor, the player creates a favorite, operating with four categories of skill points distribution - weapons, armor, stealth and magic. The tactics of the game are built in accordance with the attribute, which is given a priority number of points. A pumped-up mage uses fifty spells in battle. Runes help to cast them, which must be drawn with the mouse cursor. Stealth mechanics play an important role in Arx Fatalis, and the enemies are worth spending XP on upgrading military equipment. The gameplay is well balanced, and the plot is dynamic. To break Akbaa's ambitions, you will have to solve many difficult puzzles and kill a lot of people. The scenario is non-linear: the ending is influenced by the decisions made during the game.
