In Automaton, a lone robot moves around a deserted world that survived the Apocalypse, trying to find out what caused its destruction. The adventure has puzzle elements and sends the player into an empty virtual universe, in which the robot moves through different locations, trying to find fuel, and also exploring abandoned buildings. It implements mixed mechanics, where the passage is carried out in a two-dimensional third-person perspective.The protagonist is a curious robot worker who must go through the deserted territories of a huge desert to find the answer. This world has survived the Apocalypse, and now there are practically no living creatures left here, only the remains of mechanisms. During the process, you are offered to go through abandoned bunkers and various buildings, in the walls of which the answer to what is happening around may be hidden. The hero is driven by curiosity, which makes him overcome kilometers of deserted roads with various equipment left after human activity, where there are various towers, generators, factories, barrels of fuel and radioactive substances. The character faces many dangers, including automatic turrets, flying machines, machines capable of causing damage. During the process, the robot moves on foot on its one wheel, and is also able to jump and even fly, being in the weightlessness of space.
