Avadon: The Black Fortress is a fantasy RPG that draws inspiration from old-school genre games. Long ago, a great Alliance was formed between five nations to maintain peace and order. The Order of Avadon, whose agents monitor compliance with the laws, have been confronting threats emanating from Outland all these years. The protagonist is one of the Hands of Avadon, who has just begun his service. But troubled times are coming, a number of his brothers-in-arms are killed, and chaos reigns in previously peaceful places. The protagonist will have to unravel the conspiracy and destroy the enemies.The events of Avadon: The Black Fortress take place in 3 large areas, consisting of many locations. The player chooses a hero from 4 available classes with special abilities - a swordsman, a shadow warrior, a shaman and a sorceress. In the future, you can form a squad of four companions, each of whom has his own backstory and an additional quest associated with it. Players can expect fierce battles with dangerous enemies - ratwolves, spiders, orcs, demons, sorcerers, dragons. The battles themselves take place in a turn-based mode. During a break between battles, the team can rest in the fortress, as well as take another quest, or unravel the mysteries that fill the stronghold. A deep and elaborate plot, with various additional missions, has several endings depending on the actions of the main character.
