What is happening in Bad Mojo Redux is difficult to perceive from the point of view of logic or common sense. Some things seem completely absurd, but over time everything makes sense. The plot tells about insect researcher Roger Samms, who dreams of leaving his small room and starting a full life thanks to a grant. But at one point something incomprehensible happens, and the medallion turns the main character into a cockroach. Now, he perceives the world in a completely different way, and he has to literally explore his new environment from scratch. As you progress through the game Bad Mojo: The Way of the Cockroach, Roger, already being a cockroach, explores different locations, trying in every possible way to avoid death. So, he will visit the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and his friend Eddie's room. All these locations differ not only in size and design, but also in the number of dangerous corners. So, you can stumble upon a trap for cockroaches, rats, streams of water in the sink and even the cat Franz. The main task of the gamer is to achieve the return of Roger to his body. To do this, you need to activate the fire alarm and get to the medallion that lies on the floor. Only interaction with it will help to complete the ritual, otherwise the hero will remain a helpless insect, which will sooner or later be destroyed without even noticing. Moreover, this story has 4 possible outcomes at once. They can be achieved only with a combination of circumstances and decisions made (or not made). In any case, the player has freedom of action regarding how to complete the story.
