As the trio gather the components, Gorvan's behavior raises suspicion, leading them to investigate further. They eventually uncover Gorvan's true intentions as a disgraced plumber involved in illegal alien technology trafficking. This revelation prompts Kevin to confront Gorvan alone, creating a dangerous situation that Ben rushes to intervene in. Kevin's confrontation uncovers Gorvan's secret stash of alien technology, unleashing the Xenocytes that transform Kevin into a DNA Alien. Using the Omnitrix's DNA repair function, Ben restores Kevin, defeating Gorvan. However, their ordeal is not over yet, as they realize that Gorvan has been gathering components for a Highblood, who is absconding with a vital power source, setting the stage for the climax.
