In them, the gamer will have to control the lyrical hero and perform the tasks set by the dream. At night, he is a brave knight with a serrated sword, bringing pain and death to the crowd of enemies. This is how the inner battle with the fears of a little boy is played out in "Between Me and the Night".

When the protagonist is awake, he explores his huge home, with a bunch of secrets and puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty. In the house, the game is transformed into a point-n-click quest. You have an inventory of 5 slots for collecting what is needed and opening new rooms in a strange mansion. If the boy does not sleep for a long time, a dark and evil spirit will begin to haunt him. He will eat the hero in a second, but he can be scared off by the light of a flashlight..

In a dream, the gameplay is packed with action as much as possible. You need to cut out the crowds of enemies with a sword and hide behind a shield. In the minds of the protagonist, it is constantly snowing and a cold, piercing wind is blowing. Visually, the two worlds are very different from each other in terms of light. Throughout 3 chapters, there are also side tasks that can be performed in parallel with the main assignments, for example, collecting stickers for a poster in the red-haired man's room, collecting a set-top box, listening to audio tapes found and collecting toy soldiers.
