Unlike its predecessors, it features a unique beast scale dynamic, adding strategic depth to combat.The story takes place after the events of Bloody Roar 3, where Zion, possessed by the malevolent spirit of the Unborn, launches an assault on the dragon temple. This results in the awakening of the dragon, a fearsome weapon linked to Gaia, the will of the Earth. The goal is to rise up in the face of evil, but its uncontrolled release poses a threat to the world. The head of the temple, Miko, sacrifices herself to reseal the dragon, leaving her sister Mana to guard the seal along with Ryoho, the temple priest and vessel. Zion's actions also lead to the empowerment of a woman named Nagi, intertwining her fate with salvation and feud. A year later, the impending release of the dragon causes unrest among the zoanthropes, causing earthquakes. Each zoanthrope conducts an investigation and discovers that the epicenter is the dragon temple. The story unfolds differently for different characters: Ryoho and Mana invite some to strengthen the seal, while others arrive on their own.
