Bloody Roar Extreme belongs to the fighting genre and offers a variety of characters to fight. Each character has their own set of moves, including punches, kicks, and special moves. Combos are performed through precise button presses, with special moves often requiring quarter-circle or semi-circle movements. Defensive maneuvers such as blocking and countering add depth to the mechanics. In each battle, players start with a full life gauge and a beast gauge, which fills up as they perform actions or take damage. Once the Beast Gauge reaches a certain level, a transformation into a more powerful half-beast form can be initiated. This form grants enhanced abilities and access to devastating Beast Moves, cinematic attacks unique to each character. Managing the Beast Gauge is crucial, however, as it depletes in Beast Form and must be replenished to transform again. While transformed, players gain benefits such as increased damage, limited health regeneration, and additional movement options. Beast Gusts deliver powerful blows that can turn the tide of battle, but their absence leaves players vulnerable. The victory animation changes if the user remains in Beast Form at the end of the fight, adding a thematic touch to the experience. Press buttons precisely to perform combos and special moves, and manage the Beast Gauge to strategically time your transformations. Use defensive maneuvers like blocking and countering to counter enemy attacks and master each character's unique animal instincts to use devastating offensive abilities.
