Blue Dragon

Blue Dragon offers a classic turn-based process, reminiscent of traditional Japanese RPGs. The world is divided into cities for rest and acquisition of items, as well as complex areas similar to dungeons teeming with opponents. Players control a group of characters, one of which is visible during exploration of the world. Each character has unique abilities that allow the use of magic outside of combat situations. When a battle begins, the entire party enters the fray to face off against enemies. Enemies are visible as you move around the world, giving you the option to fight them or avoid them. Strategic users can engage multiple monsters in combat by activating a circle, giving them an advantage in combat. Some enemies may block paths or coveted treasure chests, requiring their defeat to advance. In some cases, a single enemy on the screen represents many potential opponents.Exploring Blue Dragon initially involves traveling the world on foot, which is later augmented by teleporting to previously visited locations. Starting combat depends on interacting with an enemy. A successful strike from behind grants a Rear Attack, while being ambushed results in a Surprise Strike for the enemy. You can fight several groups of monsters in a row, receiving rewards for your strategic skill.
