Blues and Bullets is a visual novel in the noir style that takes the player to an alternative America of the early 20th century. The protagonist of the story is Elliot Ness, a real hero of the United States: it was he who was able to put Al Capone in prison for tax evasion. In this universe, a former state treasurer quietly lives out his life, working in his own diner. But his peaceful existence is interrupted by an invitation from his enemy, Al Capone.Having met the ex-boss of the mafia on the Hindenburg airship, Elliot begins a new investigation. He has to find the granddaughter of the bandit leader. Who was kidnapped by a cult of Satanists who worship the devil. Blues and Bullets consists of several chapters and in each of them the player will not have much choice: the developers lead the player through the plot, without giving opportunities for global changes to the storyline. He will be able to change only minor details, for example, not to shake hands with the mafia leader, but to punch him in the teeth.The project mixes several game genres. In some locations you will have to interrogate witnesses, in others - solve puzzles, look for evidence. Periodically you can shoot, and the shooting resembles a shooting gallery. The player will only be able to shoot enemies, and the protagonist will move on his own. Quick-time events are very common and the further development of events depends on the speed of the player's reaction.
