The plot of Bogatyr unfolds in the fantasy world of Ancient Rus'. The story follows the protagonist, a mighty warrior who has just returned from a long war against the infidels on the Southern Borders. He found his native lands destroyed and empty. Now his goal is to prevent further destruction and fight evil to save his lands. The hero has to understand what happened in the area. To do this, he went to settlements still inhabited by civilians. After talking to them, he realized that the territory was attacked by the Ancient Evil, which is now hiding in the swamps. In the gameplay, the gamer is able to move around the open world and complete more than 15 side quests. Dialogues with NPCs are not linear, and the chosen lines often change the course of the main plot. The player can use hallucinogenic mushrooms to talk to a well, plants or animals.There are a huge number of opponents in the area. To fight them, the main character uses super attacks that improve as you progress. By killing opponents, the protagonist increases his level and gains new abilities. The character has an inventory where he puts acquired items for sale or use. The user moves through abandoned fortresses, Slavic villages or pagan altars in the swamps.
