Broken Age combines two stories about completely different heroes who have never met before and are separated by a huge distance, but one day their destinies intersect. The episodic adventure tells the story of a boy and a girl whose lives are much more similar than it seems at first glance. The creators of the game focused on the plot, elements of humor, offered to switch between protagonists at any time to diversify the gameplay, animated the characters, creating a non-standard visual style.A girl named Vella lives in a remote village where the locals are forced to make a human sacrifice every year to a monster called Mog Chotr, who otherwise does not give people peace. The heroine was chosen for such a sacrifice. The girl does not agree with such a fate and decides to boldly look fear in the eye, fighting a monster. Shay is a guy, a teenager who has no parents. These functions are performed by an on-board computer with AI on the space station where the protagonist lives. Shay's intelligent intelligence prohibits any actions or activities that can harm him, so the boy feels like he is in real captivity. One day, everything changes for these guys who meet to change their lives. The gameplay is classic for the genre - it provides for a search for objects that the player finds in the locations being explored, as well as the use of inventory to activate them at the desired point. They can be dragged, combined with each other. The user is offered to control the characters in turn, participating in events that link the two storylines together. There are also dialogues with a choice of lines from several presented options.
