The history of Catacomb Kids began 500 years ago, when the demon Abis was sealed in his own fortress by the efforts of four brave warriors. For some time, they forgot about it, but after many years, this fortress went underground and became a real stronghold of evil and dark magic. It received a new name - Catacombs, and everyone who goes down there in search of valuables or knowledge soon dreams only of how to escape from there in the shortest possible time. The gameplay in Catacomb Kids is based on platformer mechanics, which in turn are complemented by procedural generation. This means that all locations and levels are generated randomly, and with a new launch, gamers will find themselves in completely new conditions. Each location is designed in such a way that users have no time to wait or hesitate. A lot is tied to the speed of reaction and the ability to make decisions on the go. For example, in locations where there is limited visibility, it is necessary to move carefully, because at any moment some creature can jump out of the darkness. Fortunately, the character is armed, and he has everything to give the enemy a worthy rebuff. Moreover, in addition to classic weapons, soon after the start of the campaign, you can resort to magic, wielding spells of different elements. This can be freezing or setting fire to an enemy, as well as injecting a poisonous mixture that literally leaves no chance. For example, if a gamer wants to get a chest from a pond with piranhas, you must first decide how to neutralize the carnivorous fish. At the same time, it is not at all necessary to move strictly in the direction indicated as the exit from the level - you can devote enough time to exploring every corner of the catacombs.
