Chain of Command: Eastern Front shows another interpretation of the theater of operations during World War II. This time, the users control the American army, which carries out a number of key operations to destroy the German invaders and deoccupy Europe. In total, the campaign consists of 20 missions, which are based on real historical events. Of course, historical accuracy is not always observed, because gamers can influence the course of events. The gameplay mechanics in Chain of Command: Eastern Front correspond to classic strategies, including the movement of units, using their strengths, thinking through future moves and other things. In some situations, things may not go according to plan. For example, the enemy may decide to take up a defensive position where no one expected it and set up an ambush, slowing down the offensive. Or, the balance of power in one of the directions will be in favor of the attacking side, and the defense will be broken through in a matter of moments. Equipment and aviation are completely consistent with the era of the forties, so it is worth relying on its technical characteristics. A health or durability scale is displayed above each unit (if we are talking about equipment). Control is carried out with the mouse, and if desired, you can activate either one unit or an entire division. But if there is an understanding that a tactical operation is coming in several directions, it is worth dividing the forces in order to create effective fire support for the infantry. Much depends on the terrain, because if players stand on the defensive in the lowlands, it will be very difficult for enemies to occupy these lines. One way or another, the field for improvisation is quite extensive.
