The player tests a top-secret weapon in Chernobyl 3: Underground. The events of the action shooter unfold in an alternative Universe, where the year is 2020. Not everything is rosy here - the construction of a sarcophagus around the Chernobyl zone is disrupted due to the crisis that occurred in the eurozone. The financial crisis in the world led to the collapse of the European zone in 2014. Ukraine planned to build another sarcophagus over the Chernobyl nuclear power plant reactor. The process is stopped, as a result of which the radiation level increases, because the old dome is destroyed. The nuclear power plant zone is closed, which opens up great opportunities for science. The entry bans did not prevent criminals in hiding, military deserters, and other dangerous elements from entering Chernobyl. Soon it becomes crowded, and the place itself turns into a testing ground where military tests are carried out. At the new mercenary base, weapons, equipment, and electronics are tested. The protagonist in Chernobyl 3: Underground works undercover. The guy acts as one of these wanderers, being an employee of a transnational corporation. The protagonist must test a secret weapon under the guise of a harmless environmental study. The Death TV channel creates a television show based on the character's mission. The hero has to kill, for which he is paid, and the more cruelty and blood, the more impressive the amount will be. Passing 9 detailed levels, the user learns the story, explores an abandoned city contaminated with radiation, and fights the enemy using weapons.
