China: Forbidden City is a single-player adventure video game with quest elements. It features an interactive guide to the entire map and an encyclopedic mode to simplify the narrative and provide the player with a high-quality introduction to the storylines. The game also covers other genres (cinema, literature) so that the gamer can fully immerse himself in the story, feel the atmosphere and find answers to all the questions that interest him. The action takes place in the Forbidden City in 1775. The main character, Anjing, has to solve the murder of Wang, a eunuch, by order of Emperor Qianlong. Before his death, the deceased wrote a letter in which he spoke about a mysterious conspiracy in which he was involved against his will. The main character of China: Forbidden City has to find out everything about the copying of the emperor's gloves and state documents, as well as learn the names of the traitors who tried to kill Qianlong. Anjing will have to look for clues hidden by Wang to learn all the plot twists, find the culprits, and save the life of the head of state. To do this, the player needs to explore different locations: palaces, gardens, offices and all parts of the Forbidden City. Each of them has its own difficulties and features, because the conspirators do not want to allow their plans to be revealed and subsequently punished. They will try to interfere with Anjing at any cost, trying to keep their dark plans to capture the city a secret.
