Close Combat 3: the Russian Front - New campaign, following the Eastern Front of the German invasion of the USSR. As in other parts of the series, the player is able to take advantage of realism adjustments, turning off the fog of war, unit initiative, difficulty accessing enemy information, and other features.
The user will choose whichever side in the world conflict, and get different objectives. In battles there is a mental state of squads and individual units. Morale will be affected by factors such as finding officers, support from other groups, being under heavy fire, the number of wounded allies, and orders. If morale is low, then on the team "Breakthrough" units will, on the contrary, seek cover or flee from the battlefield.
The ammunition system is assigned to each unit. Each unit receives a certain amount of ammunition. If they run out of bullets they will resort to using edged weapons, or try to pick up ammunition from dead men. If the underling has no choice and the enemies are closing in, he will surrender to them. Soldiers have different physical state. Injuries will affect their function. Many will be paralyzed, have limbs torn off, or be incapacitated in other ways.
Tactical and strategic elements create a realistic military environment. User will use general commands and tactics, achieving success in battles. Support from machine gunners, tanks, or mortar men will be required to suppress fire. Armored vehicles or heavy equipment will crush the morale of your opponents and help win the clash.
