Colin McRae Rally Remastered is a rally simulator Colin McRae Rally with improved graphics and physics of movement, despite the fact that the content has lost the lion's share of the charm of the franchise. Compared to the original, the gameplay capabilities are greatly reduced. Only the basic controls remained the same: buttons responsible for gas, turns and brakes. Other elements of the gameplay have been mercilessly reworked. In the Remastered version, the only thing that reminds us of the original content is the ability to repair cars after every second race. The number of game modes has been reduced to two - Championship and Random Race. The tournament is held on three continents and consists of eight stages. Each stage is a new location with an unexplored track. The choice of car is limited to four models: Ford Focus, Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI and Lancia Stratos. Before each race, the player gets into a diagnostic menu where he can fix breakdowns. Here are the types of damage and the effect they have on the racing car. There are no car settings: you can neither select wheels for a certain type of track, nor install a different suspension.Controls feel different on different road surfaces. The physics engine copes well with its duties, but the game lacks variety: both Ford and Subaru behave the same on dry, gravel-strewn tracks. Unfortunately, the weather conditions were also not good: the competitions always take place on clear, dry days, so you shouldn't expect an additional challenge from Colin McRae Rally.
