The style of the game is inspired by the beginning of the twentieth century: the art of vaudeville, noir of the 1920s, the atmosphere of cabaret, jazz, French films of the last century and a little surrealism.

The main character Zarya (orig. Dawn) is an acrobat who is friends with only one restless girl named Didi. Fenris's father left the family, tk. is always in debt with some dubious people, and single mother Kat makes a living singing in local restaurants. Against the backdrop of a family drama, the game asks questions: who is real in this world? Can imaginary friends be more human than real people.
