Corpse Party: Book of Shadows tells the story of several students of the Kisaragi Academy who took part in a magical ritual. It is called Sachiko-san, and according to all the canons, the guys should have died. However, they still return to the world of the living, but all memories of them and any mentions are erased. Now the guys will have to face obstacles and opponents on their way, solve puzzles and riddles, and also prevent sad events. But will ordinary schoolchildren be able to do this?The main characters of the game Dead Party: Book of Shadows:

• Naomi Nakashima - the main character, who will save her friends, and also worry about the deceased comrades;
• Seiko Shinohara - before her death, the girl was the best friend of the protagonist, but under sad circumstances she died;
• Mayu Suzumoto - the second main character, who will help Naomi;
• Ayumi Shinozaki - the main character, is the eldest of the guys, part-time class president. Due to unknown reasons, she can be possessed;
• Naho Saenoke - appears as the otherworldly spirit of a long-dead girl;
• Sachiko Shinozaki - a ghost in red clothes in the person of a little girl who can appear in front of the main characters in the chapters.

The game has many other minor characters with whom you can interact. Also in Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, such mechanics as Blackout have been added. If the heroes find something frightening, the screen turns red, and all attention switches to the terrible find. You can also skip dialogues of secondary characters, or save and then replay chapters of the game. Some choices and decisions of the gamer can affect the further plot and ending of the game.
