Cozy Grove is dedicated to caring for the island and its inhabitants, providing them with the necessary amenities, as well as creating and maintaining your own hero. Like Animal Crossing, its goals are fairly open-ended, but a gentle tutorial will guide the player toward upgrading a tent, growing fruit trees, and raising pets. By completing tasks for the people living here and engaging in crafting, fishing, mining, and foraging mechanics, the main character, a Spirit Scout sent here by a mentor, will be able to gradually bring life back to the island. This is the twist that sets this casual game apart from its source of inspiration: everyone is dead here.In Cozy Grove, each new day begins in real time with a plot of land inhabited by ghosts, and the entire landscape is dried out. Each of the ghosts will ask you to do something for them - find a lost item, bring them food, or go on a treasure hunt to find a few essentials. And after completing this task, their gratitude will flow like a wave. It's pretty, but it happens every day, which can make the player feel like they're stuck in a time loop. However, each little quest will bring the main character closer to the spirit and possibly give a fragment of a memory, a new tool, or new information about the island. And the fire will serve as the main guide in the Cozy Grove, indicating what to do next, as well as taking care of the upgrades of the storage and tent. The game is extremely leisurely and in just 30-odd minutes you can complete all the ghost tasks, after which the fire will say that there is nothing more to do today, and it's worth coming back tomorrow. The player may be tempted to stay, but besides the ghost quests, there is mostly just fishing and foraging, which does not really lead anywhere.
