Four friends in Crawl make a stop near the dungeon. Nothing foreshadowed trouble. But at one point, the comrades go crazy and start cutting each other. Only one survives, and the rest turn into disembodied spirits that haunted the survivor. Running away from his comrades, the player finds himself in a dungeon filled with mysterious pentagrams. Crawl mechanics:
- endless runs – death is represented by reincarnation into a spirit;
- player-controlled monsters can be upgraded separately;
- artifacts that are activated automatically;
- random generation of summoned creatures.
Spirits can inhabit objects, preventing the living from passing the floors of the dungeon – that’s half the trouble. Incorporeal creatures, with the help of ancient magic, can summon bloodthirsty monsters from the depths of Hell, controlling them. With each run, the creatures are randomized – if at the beginning you come across a skeleton, then later someone else may crawl out of the portal. And that’s not all. The last spirit that inflicted lethal damage is revived, and the killed one becomes incorporeal. Despite the confrontation between friends, the main task remains the fight against evil. At the end of the run, you need to defeat the global boss. It is chosen by random generation. But there is a nuance - to get to him, you need to reach the tenth level. Along with the living hero, aggressive spirits are transferred to the haven of evil. The latter act on the side of the evil boss, opposing the survivor.
