Indie project Crypt Stalker is a kind of return to the era of 8-bit games. Gameplay, graphics, musical accompaniment - all these elements are stylized as old projects created at the beginning of the era of video games. The plot is as follows - at a certain period there is a solar eclipse, due to which demons get the opportunity to penetrate the world of people. This time, the hellish hordes are breaking out of a tomb lost in the desert, and the warrior Gladys is sent to fight them. She is armed with an electric whip that can destroy evil spirits, and has supernatural powers.Crypt Stalker has 13 different locations - from the wasteland to the dungeons of a demonic crypt. At the end of each level there is a boss - a giant and very strong enemy with a huge amount of health. Each boss is unique and requires an individual approach, which encourages you to carefully think through your battle strategy. The main character has access to an arsenal of various weapons, from a whip to long-range energy balls. In addition to evil spirits, traps and puzzles can pose a danger. For example, blocks crumbling under the character's feet, spinning maces on chains, lowering ceilings and demonic guns. Some of them can be avoided by using Gladys' whip to cling to various fastenings. Others can be destroyed or temporarily disabled by using the protagonist's weapon.
