Cut to the Core is a kinetic visual novel. In it the user can not affect the plot, which has only one ending. Interactivity here is minimal. User is only allowed to scroll through windows with text. So the player is left to passively observe the development of the story, as well as enjoy the music, atmosphere and pictures. The game stands out for its graphics compared to many other members of the VN genre. It uses a western comic book style instead of anime drawings. The visuals in the game mimic the horror comics of the second half of the 20th century like Creepshow and Tales from the Crypt.

This project takes about 3 hours to complete. Cut to the Core offers a grim story. The plot is as follows. Jack Weir took advantage of a surgeon to undergo elective surgery. However, instead of a normal doctor, he ended up with Lacey Scalia. This cranky and crazy female doctor has begun to perform creepy experiments on her patient. The man has turned into her helpless victim, with only a tiny hope of salvation remaining in him. The narrative develops very slowly at first. It consists of 9 chapters. All of the main characters have their own story arcs. Each character also has an indi vidual ending. There is blood and dismemberment in this game. This title mimics the old horror anthologies.
