In Dark Colony, the gamer will be transferred a decent number of years into the future, namely to 2137. Humanity began to conquer Mars, because as it turned out, there is a wonderful gas called Petra-7. And it seems as if nothing can interfere. But then guests dropped by the red planet. The Taar race is looking for a home and, by a lucky chance (although this is not the most positive moment), decided to choose this particular celestial body as their home. Neither of these parties wants to give in, and therefore a war is unleashed. In Dark Colony, the entire storyline can be divided into 2 parts. In the first, a company called Pan Luma Industries wants to drive these uninvited guests off the planet. In the second, the aforementioned aliens are trying to win back clumps of territory for themselves. You can lead one of the sides, although despite their differences, the goals and gameplay for them will be the same.You need to capture gas fields and build strongholds there. The construction looks unconventional - buildings in the form of modules will fall from orbit to the desired places. But the main emphasis is on fights. There is a change of day and night, and in the dark, aliens see much better, but people in the daytime. Thus, you can change your strategy depending on this factor. There are secret artifacts - secret weapons of mass destruction, which are scattered throughout the map. There are about 10 varieties available.
