Darq is a psychological horror where the center of the story is a boy named Lloyd who realized himself in a dream. He will have to get through all the dangers of his consciousness, hiding from enemies and overcoming puzzles. Lloyd tries to wake up, but the nightmare does not let go. The boy will have to fix all the non-working mechanisms to find a way out of a surreal dream. As such, there is no plot in Darkyu. All the emphasis is on the gloomy atmosphere, diluted with screamers. The game will scare not only during the hike through the locations, but also when solving puzzles. Thanks to the pseudo 3D setting, the character can ignore the laws of physics, walk on walls and ceilings. With each level, the difficulty of the puzzles increases. The mechanics are supplemented, and in addition to running on the ceiling, the player will find space rotation, labyrinths, chains that turn the room over, levers of movement and searching for objects. Each decision requires certain skills and a combination of character abilities. Without this, the player risks never getting out of the madness of the nightmare. In order not to be seen by monsters, Lloyd uses a simple stealth system. He knows how to sneak and hide in shelters until the enemy passes by. In some places, there is an option to stop and freeze if you can’t hide while the enemy looks around. Each mistake when escaping from a monster throws the character back to the last checkpoint.
