Dawn of Mana - different from its predecessors in the series, introduces a fully three-dimensional world, where the main character Keldrik and the fairy spirit Faye accompanying him move around the area and fight hostile creatures. Unlike the previous parts, the gameplay focuses on action adventure rather than RPG elements, paying special attention to dynamic movement and combat, rather than the development of character characteristics. Keldrick maneuvers through the game's landscapes using a versatile vine-like plant attached to his arm, which transforms into a sword, whip, or slingshot for a variety of attacks and interactions with the environment. Faye complements this with selectable magic spells, adding depth to the combat experience. At the core of Dawn of Mana is the Mono system, which uses the Havok physics engine. This system provides remarkable interactivity, allowing Keldrick to manipulate almost all game objects, including enemies. Using this, you can throw objects at enemies or even use one monster against another, causing panic among enemies, making them more vulnerable to attacks and spells. The panic mechanic triggers a countdown above the heads of enemies, rewarding strategic and quick decisions to take advantage of their weakened state.
