Day of the Tentacle Remastered Is a remaster of the cult game originally released by LucasArts in 1993. Now, more than 20 years later, Day of the Tentacle is back in an "updated edition." It features new high-resolution hand-drawn images, improved sound and music effects. Players can switch between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and interface as they please.

A purple tentacle created by the mad scientist doctor, Fred Edison, decides to drink water from the river, into which radioactive waste was dumped, and now intends to take over the world. Dr. Fred Edison realizes that the only way to prevent him from doing this is to kill the purple monster, along with his green brother. Green, in turn, is against his brother's plan and wants to stop him, with such a request he turns to our heroes.

The story revolves around three friends: the awkward student Bernard and his dorm roommates, rock fan Hogi and medical student Laverne. These guys will have to save the world from the purple tentacles. Upon the arrival of our trio at the doctor's estate, Fred decides that the only way to save the world is to send all three friends back in time before the purple creature consumed the radioactive toxins. But everything does not go according to plan, the time machine sends the heroes to different times: Laverne is two hundred years into the future, in which the world has long been ruled by a monster, the Hoges are two hundred years into the past, and Bernard is left in the present.
