DEFCON is a real-time strategy game based on the Wargames movie. The conflict centers on the USA and the USSR, which use thermonuclear weapons against each other. The game mechanics are represented by a global map, border captures, schematic displays of military operations, and many others. The DEFCON motto repeats the original film: Everyone will die, voiced by artificial intelligence that assessed all possible scenarios for resolving the conflict. The main goal of the gameplay is to inflict as much damage as possible on the enemy, measured in megadeaths. There are no moral restrictions. Only emotions and human resources are at the forefront of everything. Before the start of the campaign, one of six territories is available to choose from: North America, South America, Europe, Russia, Africa, and Asia. At the beginning of the game, you set up stations and fleets, and prepare for combat operations. The first 18 minutes of gameplay are peaceful, and any military action is strictly prohibited. The Defcon combat readiness level consists of a 5-point scale: from peaceful actions to weapons of mass destruction. Experience points are awarded for three actions that can be selected before the start of the campaign: normal - for a million killed residents, save - points are written off for each million people lost and genocide - mass murder of residents of another state. Among the construction objects are the Silo Launcher/Air Defense Station, Airfield and Radar. Aviation includes fighters, bombers, ballistic missiles, etc.d., and the navy contains submarines, aircraft carriers and cruisers.
