Descent: FreeSpace - The Great War

Descent: FreeSpace - The Great War - simulator in open space with action elements. In many European countries, the title was published under the guise of Conflict: FreeSpace - The Great War. The plot tells about the distant future of 2335, when the Galactic Earth Alliance went into a state of war with the Parliamentary Vasudan Empire.

A third party breaks into their conflict - the Shinwans. They, with the help of their powerful fleet and the shuttle Lucifer, pose a serious threat to all galactic civilizations. And now the once warring parties have to unite in the face of a common threat.

The gameplay is based on space battles with a view from the cockpit of a starship with a huge amount of interface and various settings, simulating a panel of shuttles and fighters.

The game is represented by 4 races:

• Earthlings - spread throughout the galaxy, after they discovered interstellar travel, which allowed them to become colonizers in many parts of the universe;
• Vasudane are people from the planet Vasuda Prime. They are sophisticated philosophers, artists, poets and advocate all forms of high art, while being very arrogant;
• Shivans are space destroyers who wiped out many races and peoples from the face of the Universe. They are xenocidal.
• The Ancients - a race that once dominated the vastness of the Galaxy, but disappeared about 8000 years ago.

Descent: FreeSpace - The Great War is an addicting game with an interesting and deep storyline, while being a unique mixture of several genres at once.
