The events of Desperados 2: Coopers Revenge take place after the completion of the first part. The main character is still John Cooper, a shooter and bounty hunter. This time he must get his hands dirty to avenge the death of his brother Ross Cooper, brutally tortured and killed by the assistants of a man nicknamed Angel Face. To have a chance in an unequal fight, John decides to bring his gang back again. Use the help of not only former comrades, such as Doc McCoy or Kate O'Hara, but also recruit new assistants. The main mechanics of the game have not changed compared to the previous part. This is a real-time strategy, but the player controls the actions of not large units, but a group of several bounty hunters performing various missions in the Wild West. The game offers various tasks: you need to infiltrate forts, carry out attacks on convoys, fight enemies in canyons. The player watches the events mainly from above, and each of the game characters - there are six of them - has different skills. For example, Doc McCoy can heal the wounds of his comrades, and Kate can distract enemies. The main novelty in the new part is the ability to change the angle. Now you can watch the battles of the protagonists not only from above, you can also switch to a view from behind, which is useful in some situations, for example, when you need to comb the interior of buildings. The graphics have improved significantly, allowing you to see the environment in great detail. The background music is almost imperceptible due to the constant sounds of gunfire and character screams.
