As in the original game, the main character in Deus Ex Revision is an agent named JC Denton. Events are set in a future world in the year 2052. Augmentations have entered people's daily lives. Society suffers from an incurable disease called gray death. You will face the Illuminati, alien technology, Men in Black, Area 51 and many other human conspiracies and mysteries.

The gameplay is a first-person stealth action. Each level can be completed in several ways, depending on the player's logic or character augmentations. You can pump the hero on the branch of the tank, focusing on close combat or firearms skills, or develop various abilities for breaking and stealth. The usual classes, typical of the role-playing genre, are absent here. Each player is free to pump absolutely any modification available to the hero.

The main parameters are such nano-enhancements as increased lung capacity, super strength, speed, health regeneration, invisibility, super vision, protection, drone spy and many other parameters that affect the style of play. Denton has a standard skill set that is not pumpable: Light, Friend/Alien, and Datalink. Items and weapons are stacked in the inventory, which has a limited volume. During conversations with characters, you can choose a dialog line. The decisions made have an impact on the world around them.
