Dino Crisis 3 is an action adventure set in a futuristic sci-fi universe. Players move through the eerie corridors of the Ozymandias spaceship, which has now mysteriously reappeared near Jupiter in 2548. They take on the roles of Patrick Tyler and Sonya Hart, members of the S.O.A.R. team tasked with exploring an abandoned ship. As you progress, you have to face hostile encounters with dinosaurs, using an arsenal that includes two weapons with six different types of ammunition. Each hero has access to a specific set of weapons, enhancing the strategic element of combat. In addition, small machines called WASPs can be used to help combat the prehistoric threats lurking aboard the ship. The project mostly follows Patrick's point of view, with only a short section allowing players to control Sonya. As they explore the interior of the ship, gamers uncover the secrets of its sudden appearance and the fate of its crew. Amidst the desert terrain, they will also have to solve various tasks and puzzles to progress further into the heart of Ozymandias. Despite the dangers of the ship, three types of body armor are available, providing varying levels of protection from the deadly claws and teeth of the dinosaurs roaming its halls.
