Do Not Press The Button (Or Youll Delete The Multiverse) is a first-person narrative adventure. Gamers move around locations under the guidance, and often under the pressure of a voice calling itself the Developer. This narrator directly contacts the person on the other side of the screen, asking questions and making barbs about the central element - the button. The key relationship is built around this control detail, which is strongly advised not to touch, creating a situation to study the conflict between the gamer's desires and the instructions given. In Do Not Press The Button (Or You'll Delete The Multiverse) the world is explored from a first-person perspective, and movement is reminiscent of walking simulators. The choices made by the gamer, especially in relation to the button, directly determine the development of the plot and lead to different endings. This project contains elements of comedy and meta-commentary regarding the actions of a person in front of a screen and the design of interactive entertainment. The ideas were inspired by previous story-driven titles and modifications created on the Source engine platform. The gameplay often involves activating controls without understanding their purpose, which adds to the sense of mystery. The structure of the gameplay specifically considers the ideas of control from the gamer and the results of decisions made in virtual space. Interacting with the environment opens up access to branching storylines; some lead to the end of the story, while others continue the adventure through alternative events.
