Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock is a project created based on the Doctor Who TV series of the same name, without reference to the original source. On the one hand, this is convenient: in order to be imbued with the atmosphere of adventure, the player does not have to get acquainted with the multi-volume setting of the fantasy universe, delving into its origins, and the interrelationships of different plot components. On the other hand, a mediocre arcade platformer, based on stealth and monotonous puzzles, is unlikely to seriously interest fans of the film franchise. The player controls two characters - Doctor Who and his partner River Song, collecting parts of the Eternity Clock in level locations, an artifact storage of all information and potential events in the inhabited universe. The heroes will have to face numerous opponents trying to eliminate them: agents of Silence, Silurians, Daleks and Cybermen. Their motivation will remain a mystery to the gamer, because the game does not go into details of the lore. During the storyline, the protagonist makes key decisions that affect the further development of events and open up new corridors of opportunity.Among the disadvantages of the project, we can highlight:
- Monotonous design of levels and actions.
- Weak development of the technical part and strong bugs.
- Boring script without intriguing twists.
- The choice actually does not affect the plot, coordinating the situation at the current moment.
