Dominions: Priests, Prophets and Pretenders was created by a team of enthusiasts in the genre of turn-based strategy. The plot is simple and complex at the same time. It tells about a certain fantasy world with different races, in which a cataclysm occurred, after which deities invaded it, demanding worship. The specified peoples are at odds with each other, but this is not so important for the passage. A negative aspect that critics drew attention to is the complex gameplay. At the beginning of Dominions: Priests, Prophets and Pretenders, the main character must choose a race. They differ in their abilities, advantages and disadvantages. In addition, you need to choose a patron deity. And this is an active unit, directly involved in the strategy. You also need to choose a school of magic. After these manipulations, the battle for territories and resources begins. It should be noted non -triviality of the game application. The developers approached the creation of the creation with great ambitions. But they failed to fully implement their plans. In particular, many exciting tasks were invented. For example, searching for ancient magical artifacts, chasing escaped prisoners, and so on. The difficulty of the gameplay lies in the fact that the hero is forced to focus on many small factors scattered across the screen. The graphics component is average. However, this is compensated by the low system requirements for the computer. Therefore, taking into account all of the above, it can be argued that the game is amateur, and it is of little use to the general public. The following features of Dominions are highlighted:
- The need to familiarize yourself with the documentation. It comes with the installation files.
- The complexity of controlling characters. It is difficult to do without preparation.
- Irrational gameplay. The creators clearly didn't give it enough time and attention.
- Indirect action. It is expressed in the fact that you cannot participate in battles yourself. You can only place troops and give them the appropriate instructions.
