Dungeons Dragons: Dragonshard is not just a real-time strategy game. It includes elements such as quests, hero groups, and other typical RPG details. There is both multiplayer and individual missions. The action takes place on two levels: in the world called Eberron, located on the surface of the earth, and in the underground kingdom of Khyber. You can move between them through gateways marked on the maps.On the map, the player can see their structures and resources, here they track their troops. A single participant plays for one of three factions that compete for a magical artifact - the Heart of Siberia. Units - the components of armies - are available from the very beginning, for their collection in Dungeons Dragons: Dragonshard no conditions are required.What units are included in the action:

• Champions - the main heroes who are chosen at the beginning of the map or called from the headquarters. This division, in turn, includes 4 more classes: warrior, magician, cleric and rogue. Each has its own characteristics, disadvantages and strengths.
• Juggernauts — more powerful and expensive units, they are invited separately. They join only one at a time and do not go down into the dungeon.
• Captains — trained fighters who can be promoted. Among them — specialists such as healers, gatherers, sorcerers. Squads under their leadership can number up to 4 privates.
• Soldiers — auxiliary units that follow the captains. When the squad leader goes underground, he converts them into his health, and then can return them again as participants.

Solo players can complete main quests that work on the main plot, and side quests for which a reward is given. In the game, you can save gold — find it in caches or collect it from defeated monsters. Gamers also look for valuables and train their captains and champions. To win, you need to take all the enemy's buildings, as well as capture half of the expansion bases, collect the most artifacts or control half of the places of power.
