DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition - the eighth game in the DYNASTY WARRIORS series, updated with new characters, locations, modes and missions. The plot is set during the era of the Three Kingdoms in China.

As before, you can play as heroes from 4 dynasties. In addition, a separate storyline appeared on behalf of the commander Liu Bu. One campaign lasts several playthroughs, because the story changes depending on the choice made and the completion of additional tasks. In addition to the usual Story Mode, there are 3 more modes. Free Mode allows you to fight in any battle. Challenge Mode includes 5 challenges to choose from:

• inferno - killing a certain number of opponents in the allotted time;
• rampage - destruction of an unlimited number of enemies before the deadline;
• arena - battle with an endless crowd until defeat or the end of the term;
• bridge melee - dropping enemies from platforms;
• speed run - race to the finish line.

Ambition Mode aims to build Tongquetai Palace and take over the Chinese Empire. Here battles are divided into 4 categories. Collision will give materials. Unusual battles will increase your glory. After great battles, new partners appear. Fake battles are available only at the end of the construction. Also in this mod you can get stones to improve equipment.

Each character is good at a certain type of weapon. If you put a "native" halberd or an ax into the hands of a warrior, his strength will increase. In addition to the usual strike, the weapon deals additional damage along a chain of enemies or an area.

Heroes have stats like strength and health, as well as perks with a bonus to damage. The latter are obtained when certain conditions are met, for example, killing officers with a powerful combo. In battle, the player can use simple and enhanced muso attacks. Some "muso" are sharp attacks that hit the area, while others are long combinations in time of pressed keys.
